BUSINESS SETUP

In order to offer products or services in the UAE outside of a free zone, a specific license is required. Since 2022, it has been possible through Flag Strategies to set up a company for more than 1,000 commercial and industrial activities that is 100% self-owned and no longer requires local stakeholders

As soon as you want to offer products or services in Dubai or another emirate, a mainland license is necessary. By acquiring one you enjoy the following benefits:

9% corporate tax (starting from July 2023)
5% VAT
0% income tax
100% ownership for more than 1,000 activities
No deposit of share capital is necessary
Permanent Residence for the shareholders (travel to Dubai every 6 months to keep active)
Corporate and private accounts are subject to local banking secrecy
Simplified accounting (Income/Expenses)
Low bureaucracy (business friendly)
No visa limitation for employees (number dependent on office size)
Unrestricted business activity in the UAE, including all free zones as well as international

How long does the company setup take?

A Mainland company formation can usually be completed in a few days, up to a maximum of two weeks, provided that all the necessary documents are available.

The process can be initiated via email.

To finalize and activate the company and private accounts, it is necessary to enter Dubai.
